Storm-damaged tree fallen on residential roof requiring emergency response

What It Is & When You Need It

Emergency storm response is the immediate assessment and mitigation of storm-damaged trees that pose an active danger to people, structures, or property access. This includes trees that have fallen on homes, vehicles, or fences; trees blocking driveways or roads; hanging limbs over occupied areas; and partially uprooted trees that could fall at any time.

Pelfrey operates a 24/7 emergency dispatch system across all three markets. When you call our emergency line, you reach a dispatcher who evaluates the situation, assigns priority, and deploys a crew. For active structural threats -- a tree on your house, a tree on power lines -- we mobilize immediately, including after-hours and on weekends.

Our emergency response is not just fast -- it is safe and insured. The same ANSI Z133 safety standards and ISA arborist oversight that apply to scheduled work apply to emergency operations. Emergency conditions do not lower our safety standards. We carry full insurance on emergency work, and we coordinate directly with your homeowner's insurance for storm damage claims.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Pelfrey offer 24/7 emergency tree removal?

Yes. Pelfrey operates 24/7 emergency dispatch in all three markets: Atlanta, Nashville, and Tampa. Call your local number any time -- nights, weekends, and holidays. For active structural emergencies (tree on house, tree on power lines), we dispatch immediately.

How does emergency storm response actually work -- do you come at night?

Yes, for active structural threats. If a tree is on your house, blocking your only exit, or creating an immediate danger to occupants, we will dispatch a crew at night. For situations that are not actively dangerous -- downed trees in the yard, broken limbs not threatening structures -- we schedule for first light the following morning.

Do maintenance clients get priority during storm season?

Yes. Clients with active Pelfrey maintenance contracts or tree health plans receive priority scheduling during storm events. This means your call is placed ahead of non-contract emergency requests in our dispatch queue. Priority response is a built-in benefit of ongoing maintenance relationships.

Will you coordinate with my insurance company?

Yes. We photograph all storm damage before, during, and after removal. We provide a detailed report with photos and cost documentation formatted for insurance submission. If your adjuster needs additional information or wants to speak with our team, we coordinate directly.

How much does emergency storm response cost?

Emergency response is billed at our standard service rates plus a dispatch fee for after-hours calls. We do not inflate pricing during storm events. You receive a written estimate before non-emergency follow-up work begins. For active structural emergencies where work must begin immediately, we provide a verbal scope confirmation on site and follow up with written documentation within 24 hours.
